U2VET Transnational Partners Meeting in Athens, 7th – 8th of October 2025

Hosted by our valuable partner AKMI, the U2VET Project consortium came together once again, on October 7th-8th in Athens for a productive two-day Transnational Partners Meeting, marking an important milestone in our shared mission to empower Ukrainians displaced by war through vocational education, training and employment opportunities.

Collaborating for Real Impact

Over two intensive days, all partners worked extremely productively across every area of the project. The sessions were filled with collaboration, creativity and shared purpose as we reviewed progress, exchanged best practices and coordinated next steps to strengthen U2VET’s implementation across Europe.

A key focus of the meeting was the joint development of the U2VET training materials, designed to support professionals, educators and immigrants in developing the skills and knowledge needed for effective integration into the labor market. Partners also worked closely on planning the next piloting phases, ensuring that all materials and tools are well-adapted to real-world needs and ready for use by target groups in participating countries.

Our Shared Goals in practice

During the meeting, partners actively worked to translate U2VET’s shared goals into concrete actions. We refined approaches to recognize and validate the skills and experiences of displaced Ukrainians, ensuring assessment tools and procedures are inclusive and adaptable. We advanced the design of tailored and practical training pathways that respond to both individual aspirations and labor market demands. The consortium also collaborated on strategies to facilitate integration by strengthening links with employers, training providers, and local communities. In addition, partners emphasized the importance of self-directed learning and empowerment, developing tools that encourage participants to take ownership of their personal and professional growth.
