Preparatory Education Guide and Material
Integrating Ukrainians to VET

This guide provides vocational education staff with tools and methods for developing preparatory education, aiming to support Ukrainian refugees in their transition to vocational training. The starting point for the preparatory education is the results of the follow-up plan (part of the Application Phase), which includes the identification of competence and the assessment of study readiness. This helps the staff support the student in strengthening their skills during the preparatory education.

Preparatory education focuses on developing the student's language, digital, study, soft, and hard skills, as well as work-based learning capability. It includes career advising that prepares students for vocational studies and future careers.

By using active learning methods and implementing preparatory education in accordance with the learning goals of vocational education, students gain a solid foundation for their educational journey. This preparation phase ensures a smooth transition to vocational training, strengthens students' self-confidence, and helps them start their education more efficiently and better prepared.
